Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Morning Arrival
The safety of your child is our number one priority. Please read carefully.
​
Morning Arrival:
7:20- Supervised student drop off by parents and buses begins. Supervision will not be provided for students before 7:20 a.m.
​
Buses- will drop students at the side entrance closest to the cafeteria.
​
Cars- will drop students at the front entrance closest to the main office.
​
Due to increased security measures and changes in state law, access to the inside of the building is limited during school hours.
​
Preschool: Students will proceed to their classrooms and will eat breakfast at 7:45 in the cafeteria.
Kindergarten: Students will proceed to the gym and will eat breakfast at 7:45 in the cafeteria.
Grades 1-5: Students eating breakfast will proceed to the cafeteria upon arrival. Those students not eating breakfast or who have finished eating will proceed to the gym for supervised early duty.

7:45- First bell rings. Students met by their teachers either in the cafeteria or gym and escorted to their classrooms.
​
7:50- Tardy bell rings. All students should be in their classrooms at this time ready for the day to begin. Doors will all be closed when this bell rings. If you are in the line waiting to drop your child and the bell rings, you will need to park and bring your child in the front and sign them in the office as tardy. The Kentucky Compulsory Attendance Statute requires that all students who are not in the building at this time be counted tardy.

Afternoon Dismissal
ALL BUS RIDERS WILL BE ISSUED A RED BACKPACK TAG WITH THEIR BUS NUMBER ON IT.
​
ALL CAR PICK-UPS WILL BE ISSUED A BLUE BACKPACK TAG WITH THEIR ASSIGNED PICK-UP NUMBER ON IT.
​
ALL STUDENTS MUST CARRY A BACKPACK DAILY WITH THEIR TAG DISPLAYED CLEARLY.
​
2:50- West Hall students riding the first buses are dismissed and escorted to buses.
​
2:55- East Hall students riding first buses are dismissed.
​
3:00- Students riding second bell buses are dismissed to assigned areas for supervised late duty.
​
3:00- Students picked up by cars are dismissed to the cafeteria for supervised duty.
​
3:10- Car Pick Up Line begins
​
3:30- Late buses arrive and pick up remaining students and car pick up line ends.
